I’ve talked with Melanie about her plans for this week a couple of times but it wasn’t until I pulled up her short documentary video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQlg-UomM8k) that I really thought: THIS IS GOING TO BE SO COOL!
Sometimes I think that we shouldn’t say too much about the topic of a particular seminar for fear of “giving away too much” about the points to be discussed during the evenings. In this case, the video shows a great deal of what Melanie will do with the community during our week together. And, it only makes me want to be there in person even more. I have no doubt that the energy that Melanie talks about in the video will be there as will be the satisfaction of working on our own sticks (we’ll provide the sticks and some materials; feel free to bring your own contributions). The additional fun will be getting to gather together in the Den, our new meeting space: we discovered last summer that the acoustics in the Den are phenomenal for singing and musical instruments. Getting to use these sticks in that space will be a wonder, I’m willing to bet. I hope you consider coming to feel that energy for yourself.
